Proof that Fox News Rots Your Brain

Fairleigh Dickenson University conducted a US-wide poll, asking respondents who solely watch/listen to certain media, ranging from Fox News to NPR to The Daily Show, to answer questions about international and domestic affairs, in order to ascertain how much exposure to actual news people are getting, and which media sources had the most highly aware audience.

And speaking from my point of view, the results aren't surprising.

Number of Questions Answered Correctly (Average)
Fox News viewers know both the least of international and domestic affairs, and this isn't because they don't cover them - it's because they can't answer correctly!

Not to say many outfits do much better. The highest in both - NPR - is still below 50% answering correctly (there were four questions). Still, that's just sad.

They broke it down by ideology as well, which is an amusing look at how Democrats and Republicans are more clueless than Independents are.

I'd hate to see the results of that poll up here, because Fox News North probably couldn't even register, given their low ratings, and that's just not fair, I want to see them below Fox News!

    1. How dare you use logic on me. >:( But yes, you're probably correct. Mind you, it's a helluva coincidence.

    2. It's also possible that brain rot causes fox news watching.
