Coming up later today....

Why the idea of electoral reform is nice, but no matter how many times you try, you're not likely to get it past most of the population without completely avoiding a referendum. Example: Britain.

Hopefully I'll be proven wrong later today after all the ballots are counted in the UK for the AV Referendum (alongside the Welsh and Scottish Assembly results, which I'll also be going over), but I won't hold my breath.


  1. Looks like it's going to go down, which is a shame because AV/IRV is one of the few voting alternatives that doesn't totally blow. (I'm looking at you MMP/STV)
