And so it begins...
Voting booths are now open in Vaughan, Winnipeg North, and Dauphin-Swan River-Marquette. Three individuals will carry the Liberal banner into three very different races, and with the possible exception of DSRM, the likelihood of the results affecting the near-term and probably the long-term future of the current Liberal Party of Canada under Michael Ignatieff is high. And no matter the results, Tony Genco, Kevin Lamoureux, and Christopher Scott Sarna and their election teams all deserve our respect and our thanks for carrying the Liberal banner once again. But, let's all hope they come out winners, shall we?
For those interested in watching the by-election results tonight, Elections Canada has a live-feed online, starting at 9:30 PM Eastern Standard Time, 8:30 in Manitoba. I'll also be live-blogging the results here on my humble little site, starting at around 9:00.
If you live in any of the ridings, or you live close by, get out and help support the candidates! I may be joining the campaign in Vaughan as an E-day volunteer, but it really depends on whether or not I can get there and back in time! If you're up there in Vaughan today, however, look for the big guy named Kyle Hutton and give me a shout if I'm there.
